Evan - Piano, Legends
Evan’s passion for music began over thirteen years ago with private piano training under Mary Rice (University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma), where he developed a strong foundation in technique and music theory. From there, he progressed to guitar and ukulele, taking private lessons with Robin Brooks (Oklahoma City University/Middle Sister Music). After moving to North Carolina, Evan quickly expanded his musical education, further developing his expertise in guitar while adding bass, mandolin, and drums. As a multi-instrumentalist, Evan brings versatility, rhythm, and stage-ready energy to every lesson.
Although Evan trained classically from a young age, he prefers to focus on rock and pop, where he is drawn to the power, creativity, and connection that live music creates. He believes music is meant to be experienced, not just practiced, and encourages students to develop both technical skill and confident performance ability. In his lessons, Evan blends solid fundamentals with real-world musicianship, helping students build stage presence, musicality, and the confidence to perform. Whether a student is picking up an instrument for the first time or preparing for a performance, he creates an engaging and supportive environment that inspires growth.
Evan studied music at Oklahoma Christian University, where he received an Associate of Science degree. He is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree and is expected to graduate in 2027, continuing to refine his craft as both a performer and educator.
