That’s why we started Learn Music Legends. Legends is a collaborative rock band program that matches students of similar ages and skill levels, giving them the opportunity to grow musically and as leaders, while developing interpersonal skills in a dynamic and creative environment. Our Legends program serves students throughout Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville, Mooresville, Charlotte, and the greater Lake Norman area.
Rehearsals
Legends students meet for 1 hour each week to rehearse under the guidance of a professional musician. Together, they craft a six-song set to perform at our quarterly Legends Showcase, providing a platform for their hard work and talent.
Showcases
Four times a year, our Legends bands perform at a local venue, giving them the chance to play a professional gig. Each event is an exciting opportunity for our students to showcase their hard work and talent in front of an enthusiastic audience.
Results
Students in our Legends program gain skills in music, leadership, collaboration, communication, and self-confidence, growing into accomplished musicians and confident individuals ready to take on new challenges on and off the stage.

The Legends program at Learn Music is our premier student performance experience. Young musicians in Mooresville, Cornelius, Huntersville, Davidson, and surrounding Lake Norman communities join together in a real rock band to rehearse, collaborate, and perform live on stage. Students learn teamwork, stage presence, and how to bring music to life in a fun, professional setting.

Legends is open to students ages 6-18 who are currently enrolled in lessons at Learn Music. Students should already know the basics of their instrument and be excited to perform with others. We carefully place students into bands based on skill level, age, and style to ensure a great fit.

Our student rock bands perform four times a year at an event called the Legends Block Party. Past shows have been held at local venues across Cornelius, Huntersville, and Davidson. Performing at real venues gives students the opportunity to experience the thrill of live music while building confidence and stage skills.

Bands rehearse weekly at Learn Music’s Cornelius studio with professional instructors who guide the group through song selection, arranging, and stage prep. Consistent weekly rehearsals ensure students are ready for performances at local venues.
