Growing up in a household of musicians, Jair was surrounded by music from an early age. His mom raised him on gospel and contemporary Christian music, while his dad introduced him to Latin pop, funk, jazz, and touches of rock—so music was always part of everyday life. At thirteen, while tagging along to his uncle’s drum lesson, Jair picked up a pair of drumsticks for the first time and felt an immediate connection. From that moment on, he knew he was a drummer, and his mom soon purchased his first drum set.

After spending countless hours practicing at home, Jair began playing in church about a year later. By fifteen, he realized that music—especially drumming—was the path he felt called to pursue. Now with over six years of teaching experience, Jair continues to play in church and regularly travels to perform at worship events, weddings, and country gigs. He is passionate about helping students express themselves through music and hopes to inspire them to fall in love with it the same way he did.
