Mycah, a longtime Lake Norman resident, took her first drum lesson at age 10 and has been making music ever since. During middle and high school, she participated in both marching band and concert band, and her dedication earned her the distinguished Patrick Gilmore Band Award during her senior year.

In 2025, Mycah graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a degree in Music Performance. Throughout college, she performed in a wide variety of settings, including large orchestral ensembles, rock bands, choral ensembles, athletic bands, and percussion ensembles. Along the way, she developed a passion for and expertise in a variety of popular music styles and became known around campus as a skilled and versatile drummer.

As a teacher, Mycah takes a fun, technical approach to drum instruction, emphasizing technique, fundamentals, and the music each student enjoys playing. Her goal is to give students practical skills and a strong foundation they can carry with them for a lifetime of making music.
